Reporting to site leadership, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating underground activities on shift, supervising crews, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification. You will play a key role in mentoring personnel, maintaining standards, and driving a strong safety culture underground.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute shift activities in alignment with mine plans and site priorities
- Allocate personnel, equipment, and work areas to meet production and safety targets
- Supervise, mentor, and support underground crews to promote safe and productive work practices
- Ensure compliance with SWIs, mine design, statutory requirements, and Redpath standards
- Champion safety, environmental, and quality performance across all underground activities
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Complete all required shift reporting, timesheets, and operational documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with site leadership to manage risks, priorities, and changing conditions
About You
- Current WA Underground Shift Boss Ticket
- Proven experience in underground hard‑rock mining environments
- Hold relevant underground mining licences and certifications
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and support crews on shift
- High personal standards, strong work ethic, and a genuine safety‑first mindset
